Your Role

As the National Road Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and expanding our Centre of Excellence for Domestic and Cross-border transport, while also collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Centre of Excellence Roll Out: Lead the structured roll out of our Centre of Excellence for Domestic and Cross-border transport, along with haulage activities on a central platform.
  2. Vendor Management: Develop measures to improve vendor management capability, reviewing and aligning resource allocation across different business activities to provide optimum service levels.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Ensure efficient operational activities exist and are continuously optimized by implementing best practices.
  4. System Development: Be involved in the development and implementation of operational and reporting systems, including transport management systems (TMS) and application of new software.
  5. Policy and Procedure Management: Manage and review operational policies, standards and procedures including integrating and implementing automation, technology and systems.
  6. Crisis Management: Review incident/crisis management ensuring effective business continuity plans are in place.
  7. Budget Monitoring: Monitor annual budget, initiating corrective actions in case of deviation.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Leadership and Qualifications: Possess strong leadership skills and focus on customer and stakeholder relationships. A Bachelor's degree in any related course is required.
