Your Role:

You will be part of our Accounts Payable team, leading vendor and account reconciliations for key accounts and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive issue resolution. With an inquisitive mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving expertise, you will improve efficiency of invoice processing and maximize payment accuracy.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for inputting supplier invoices and credit memos into the system, performing 3-way reconciliations, and monitoring EDI rejections and clearing EDI holds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Input supplier invoices and credit memos into the system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  2. Enter consolidated invoices for Public Cloud vendors, perform 3-way reconciliations, and offset Invoice Price Variance Balance Sheet accounts, adhering to month-end cut-offs.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoicing issues, investigating, tracking progress, and escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely and proper resolution and closeout.
  4. Monitor EDI rejections and clear EDI holds, identifying and forwarding issues to the related department.
  5. Conduct regular supplier account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  6. Maintain Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt report and ATB aging of assigned accounts, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and escalating to various departments for timely resolution.
  7. Investigate and initiate the clean-up of aged items for assigned accounts.
  8. Manage payment terms effectively to improve cash flow.
  9. Assist with month-end revenue recognition activities.
  10. Respond to vendor payment inquiries.
  11. Perform other ad-hoc projects as required.

What We're Looking For:

  1. 3+ years of relevant progressive experience, strong understanding of AP processes, accrual accounting, and GAAP/IFRS standards.
  2. Proficiency in SAP.
  3. Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
  4. Excellent Excel skills, expert knowledge of VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas.
  5. Experience with AI-based invoice processing, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is an asset.
  6. Knowledge of fraud prevention, approval hierarchies, and compliance with company policies.
  7. Strong communication (oral and written), attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  8. Creative, out-of-the-box thinking capabilities with strong problem-solving skills.
  9. Self-motivated, self-starter, able to work well independently and within a team environment.
  10. Ability to foster proactive working relationships with cross-functional departments.
