Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Field Advisor to join our team at Weir Minerals. As a key member of our maintenance and engineering team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on the GEHO Autoclave Feed Pumps at the Coral Bay Nickel site.

About the Role
This is a residential position that requires you to be based permanently on-site at the Coral Bay Nickel site. You will work closely with the maintenance teams to ensure the efficient operation of the pumps, providing technical support and guidance as needed. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising and performing maintenance tasks on the GEHO Autoclave Feed Pumps, including couplings, gearboxes, motors, controls, etc.
  • Providing on-site management of consignment stock, including withdrawals, replenishments, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Preparing regular reports to Weir Minerals on the status of the equipment, consignment stock, and spare parts consumption.
  • Fostering relationships with customers through face-to-face contact, promoting trust, reliability, and strength in Weir Minerals products.

Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A qualified mechanical engineer under Philippines law.
  • At least 10 years of experience in maintenance of mining equipment (mechanical, electrical, and controls) and 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent language skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to interpret technical standards, procedures, policies, and instructions manuals.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet calculations and quotations.
