Ad Operations Specialist

The role of the Ad Operations Specialist is to oversee the lifecycle of client campaigns from setup to optimization. This includes building audience segments, generating and naming PMP deal IDs, curating inventory packages, implementing ad tags, pixels, and tracking URLs, and deploying deals into DSP seats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deal Setup & Audience Build: Building audience segments in our AI platform based on client specifications.
  • Technical Configuration & QA: Implementing and verifying ad tags, pixels, and tracking URLs across platforms, executing campaign QA checklists, and securing internal sign-off.
  • Platform Deployment & Troubleshooting (SSP/DSP): Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting SSP integrations and inventory feeds, deploying deals into DSP seats, and monitoring for setup errors.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitoring live campaign metrics daily and producing performance reports, identifying under-delivery or sub-optimal win-rates, and adjusting bids, caps, and inventory mix accordingly.
  • Marginal Gains Mindset: Continually hunting small performance uplifts to drive overall campaign success.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on Technical Account Management or Programmatic Trading experience.
  • Deep expertise with DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon) and SSPs (OpenX, PubMatic, Index Exchange).
  • Proficiency in ad tags, pixels, tracking URLs, bid strategies, and campaign QA processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across the full programmatic ecosystem.
  • Commercial acumen—balancing performance optimization with margin protection.
  • Excellent communication—able to translate technical concepts for clients and cross-functional teams.
