Key Responsibilities
  • Process and track financial transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
  • Create and review payment requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached and signed.
  • Verify receipt of goods or services before making payments and identify opportunities for discounts.
  • Manage credit memos and issue stop-payments or payment adjustments as needed.
  • Print checks and process electronic payments for approved transactions.
  • Validate transactions by confirming received-by signatures are signed and all required receipts are complete.
  • Enter and update transactions and vendor information in the accounting system with accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to respond to inquiries and resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable records, both digital and physical, for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
  • Proficient in using standard office software; working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing effectively.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and demonstrate negotiation skills.
