Job Role: Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to assume the role of Estimator. As an integral member of our team, this individual will play a crucial part in the success of our projects by accurately estimating costs and resources.

Responsibilities
  • Data Management and Entry
    • The successful candidate must accurately and efficiently enter project data into our CRM system.
    • Maintaining accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project costs is essential.
    • Effective management and organization of project documents, including plans, specifications, and proposals, are required.
  • Takeoffs
    • Accurate and detailed takeoffs from blueprints and specifications, including material quantities (e.g., concrete, lumber, steel), labor hours, and equipment needs, are necessary.
    • The selected candidate must utilize industry-standard software for takeoff and quantity calculations.
  • Estimate Preparation
    • The chosen candidate must develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial construction.
    • Analysing project scope, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies are critical components of this role.
    • Detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, must be prepared.
    • Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors is essential to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • CRM Tool Utilization
    • Effectively utilizing CRM software to track leads, manage customer relationships, and monitor project progress is mandatory.
    • Generating reports and analysing data to identify trends and improve estimating accuracy are also required.
Requirements
  • Experience with construction estimating software (Square Takeoff)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Clickapp, Joist)
  • Experience in Data Entry
