Job Overview

The role of a Data Engineer requires strategic planning and execution to deliver a scalable data warehouse project. As the key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing the complete orchestration framework for all data pipelines using Google Cloud Composer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing complex dependency management systems in Python.
  • Crafting sophisticated DAGs with triggers and scheduling logic to optimize pipeline performance.
  • Serving as the subject matter expert on DAG Authoring/Best Practices, including idempotency, task modularity, backfilling, and performance tuning.
  • Developing a comprehensive monitoring strategy to proactively identify and resolve issues within orchestrated pipelines.
  • Establishing and enforcing CI/CD processes for deploying and testing DAGs to ensure operational stability.
  • Collaborating with ingestion and transformation engineers to integrate their workflows into the master orchestration plan.
Key Qualifications
  • Expert-Level DAG Authoring: Demonstrable mastery of authoring complex DAGs in Python.
  • Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow): Deep, hands-on experience managing a production Cloud Composer environment.
  • Python for Orchestration: Expert-level Python proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and testable Airflow DAGs.
  • CI/CD for Data Pipelines: Experience implementing continuous integration and deployment workflows for DAGs.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Strong knowledge of setting up and using monitoring tools to track pipeline performance and alert on failures.
