Job Description

We seek a skilled and solutions-oriented Front-End Developer with strong experience in modern JavaScript frameworks and spatial mapping libraries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of React, performance optimisation, and integration of geospatial data into web applications.

  • Develop and maintain complex front-end applications using React (functional components, hooks, state management).
  • Integrate spatial mapping tools such as Mapbox, Google Maps API, or Esri into web applications.
  • Optimise application performance across various browsers and devices, including code profiling and build optimisation.
  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to build responsive, efficient, and visually compelling user interfaces.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience developing production-level applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with React, including efficient use of hooks, state/store patterns, and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to integrate and work with geospatial mapping libraries (Mapbox, Google Maps API, Esri, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of responsive web design principles and accessibility best practices.

Apart from technical skills, the ideal candidate should also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, have a willingness to learn, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
