AutoCAD Draftsman Role

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential construction and home remodeling drafting projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport are also essential.

This role involves researching and finding plats or surveys using local GIS, recreating lot lines, developing options for house placement and orientation, generating site layout options, and ensuring complete and accurate agency submittals while following OR and WA permitting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and find plats or surveys using local GIS
  • Recreate lot lines and develop options for house placement and orientation
  • Generate site layout options and ensure complete and accurate agency submittals
  • Provide timely support to builders on-site and expedite permitting by liaising with city/county staff
  • Produce address-specific plans within set deadlines and update the plan library per manager's directives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree in a related field; bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 2-5 years of drafting experience or equivalent
  • Residential construction or home remodeling drafting experience required
  • Familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR preferred
  • Ability to conduct internet research and familiarity with local GIS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
