About the Job

This is a challenging role for a highly skilled software engineer who can design and implement front-end solutions using React and Gatsby.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement front-end solutions using React and Gatsby or other React frameworks (e.g. Next.js)
  • Write readable, maintainable code with minimal technical oversight
  • Manage project quality, performance, and security aspects
  • Be a contributing part of a project team by taking responsibility for complex component architecture and development
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Communicate task status, availability, and questions about technology to Nerdery employees and clients

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the software industry
  • 3+ years of experience as a front-end developer with React
  • 2+ years of experience with Gatsby, Next, or similar React framework
  • Familiarity with automated unit testing
  • Experience working in distributed, agile environments with Agile methodologies
  • Confident use of Git for version control
  • Loose DevOps experience with AWS or GCP, or continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipeline development
