Python Backend Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned Azure Cloud Expert to join our team and help us develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for modern web applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with databases, cloud deployments, API development, and thrive in an agile development team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Deploy Backends: Develop and deploy scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework, and design and implement secure, efficient, and scalable database structures using PostgreSQL.
  2. Manage Applications: Manage applications in Azure Cloud, including CI/CD pipeline management, and work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  3. Write and Maintain Tests: Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application stability, and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  4. Troubleshoot Issues: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues across the full stack.
Requirements
  • Experience with Python: Strong experience with Python, with a focus on Django (Django REST Framework preferred).
  • Proficiency in Building Scalable APIs: Proficiency in building scalable APIs, microservices, and backend logic.
  • Database Experience: Experience with ORMs (Django ORM, SQLAlchemy), relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and ephemeral storage (Redis).
  • Async Processing: Knowledge of asynchronous processing (Celery, Redis) and background task management.
  • Event-Driven Architectures: Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hub).
  • API Development: Familiarity with GraphQL for API development.
  • Authentication & Authorization: Prior experience working with authentication & authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT, Azure AD B2C).
  • Monitoring & Logging: Knowledge of monitoring and logging (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
