Job Title: Welder

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Subic Drydock Corporation. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal parts as specified by layouts, diagrams, and work orders. You will use electric arc or gas welding equipment to perform various welding tasks.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Weld metal parts according to specifications using electric arc or gas welding equipment
* Adjust equipment to achieve the desired amperage and gas mixture
* Guide electrodes, filler rods, or flux along weld lines and inspect for size of bead and penetration
* Perform tack welding, assembly, and welding along vertical or overhead weld lines
* Grind and chip off excess weld, slag, or splatter
* Conduct visual inspection and perform non-destructive/destructive tests of welds for possible defects
* Maintain cleanliness and proper utilization of machines, tools, and equipment
* Observe and maintain good housekeeping practices of work area and its surroundings
* Exercise safety precautions before, during, and after welding jobs

**Requirements:**

* Ability to read and follow layouts, diagrams, and work orders
