Key responsibilities include designing and specifying new features, building consensus on approach, engaging with upstream communities in your area of expertise, conducting security analysis and reviews, creating and monitoring performance benchmarks, collaborating proactively with a distributed team, writing high quality code to create new features, debugging issues and producing high quality code to fix them, reviewing code produced by other engineers, and discussing ideas and collaborating on finding good solutions.
