Job Description

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and triaging incoming support cases via a shared queue. You will prioritize and resolve quick-win issues to meet response and resolution SLAs, identify and escalate Severity 1 cases following established protocols, and maintain and update backlog cases with clear, structured documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Prioritize and address critical incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to minimize downtime and impact on the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, applying this knowledge to inform our security strategy and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in Linux Operating System and hands-on experience with networking devices and security devices.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box when faced with complex technical challenges.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python would be an advantage.
