Job Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for employees.

This position requires a highly skilled individual to manage our end-to-end payroll process, from bi-weekly payrolls to weekly off-cycle payrolls.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process timecards, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, bonuses, and final pay calculations.
  • Ensure approvals of time and pay exceptions by managers before processing.
  • Manage W-2s, year-end filings, and state tax withholdings setup.
  • Submit and audit files for DailyPay, Purchasing Power, and other payroll-related programs.
  • Work with Paycom to ensure proper tracking and application of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) for eligible employees.
  • Audit payroll and timekeeping data regularly for compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the annual Workers' Compensation audit and prepare and submit Quarterly Multiple Worksite Reports (Unemployment Insurance).
  • Perform regular audits on benefits deductions, vacation accruals, and group term life insurance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-jurisdiction environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with union payroll, job costing, and prevailing wage compliance preferred.
