Chemistry Professor

Lakeland University is seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to teach a wide range of undergraduate chemistry courses, including general chemistry, introductory and advanced organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and introductory thermodynamics and kinetics.

Preferred applicants will also be able to teach physical chemistry, cellular biochemistry, and/or metabolic biochemistry. Candidates with experience in undergraduate research and promoting programs in the sciences are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time, renewable, tenure-track position with a 24-credit teaching load expectation and nine-month contract. A willingness to participate in Lakeland's undergraduate summer research program, accompanied by a reduction in nine-month teaching load, is highly desired.

• Teach 24 credits per academic year, including in the Interdisciplinary Studies core classes when teaching load allows.
• Advise students as assigned.
• Coordinate and supervise student internship and/or cooperative education experiences appropriate for chemistry majors.
• Act as course concierge; identify and approve textbook, conduct program reviews, propose curricular changes, manage budgets and supplies for classes assigned.
