Job Overview

We're looking for a seasoned software engineer to join our Batangas City, PH team.

  • Design and develop high-quality software systems using Ruby.

  • Manage microservices and ensure seamless system integration.

  • Maintain existing integrations and plan their improvement.

  • Participate in efforts on systems architecture initiatives.

  • Enhance test coverage and quality of deliverables.

  • Develop internal tools and libraries.

  • Lead by example and guide team members.

  • Contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience (5-7+ years) as a software engineer with the ability to contribute from day one.

  • Recent experience working with Ruby projects.

  • Hands-on experience planning and improving observability and monitoring processes.

  • Grafana/Prometheus experience is an advantage.

  • Experience conducting technical recruitment interviews would be beneficial.

  • Test-driven development skills.

  • Proven track record integrating external APIs.

  • Deep understanding of distributed systems principles.

  • Experience working with microservices and/or service-oriented architecture.

  • CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance expertise.

  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes from a software engineering perspective.

  • Experience working with public cloud providers (GCP preferred).

  • In-depth understanding of relational and non-relational database principles.

  • Hands-on experience designing robust REST APIs.

  • Leadership skills to drive technical initiatives.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
