Technical Solution Architect

Role Overview

As a Technical Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in the business development cycle—bridging technical understanding and client value. You will assess client requirements, architect initial solution proposals, estimate delivery costs and timelines, and work alongside sales and delivery teams to close deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Solutioning & Engagement
    • Lead technical discovery and requirement gathering with prospective clients.
    • Conduct initial assessments of client architecture, systems, and integration needs.
    • Develop high-level solution architecture, delivery roadmaps, and implementation recommendations.
    • Support sales and delivery leads in crafting compelling statements of work (SOW) and work orders (WO).
  • Proposal Development
    • Collaborate with sales, consulting, and delivery teams to create proposals tailored to client needs.
    • Present and explain proposed technical approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ensure alignment with client business goals, constraints, and strategic priorities.
  • Internal Coordination & Handoff
    • Provide technical context and requirements to project managers and delivery squads during transitions.
    • Assist with resource planning and scheduling during onboarding and kickoff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, software engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong technical background—preferably as a full-stack developer, software architect, or DevOps engineer.
  • Proven experience in IT consulting, engaging with clients to understand their business and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management principles and practices, including scope definition, risk identification, and timeline considerations.
  • Significant experience in technical estimation and costing for complex IT projects.
  • Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or Technical Architect (minimum 5 years) is highly preferred. This includes a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various architectural patterns.
  • Experience in estimating timelines, resource costs, and project scopes (Agile/Scrum).
  • Strong grasp of enterprise system integration, cloud infrastructure, and modern development stacks (Java/Spring Boot preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to create client-facing documentation and present proposals.
  • Has domain experience in BFSI or Banking and Fintech.

  • Familiarity with pricing strategies, rate card-based costing, and profitability analysis. Understanding of industry-specific challenges in BFSI, logistics, or telecom.
  • Exposure to RFP/RFI response development and vendor shortlisting processes.
