Role Overview

The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions by performing estimation processes, participating in triage calls, documenting testing standards and strategies, analyzing and reporting overall test status and results, conducting defects management, developing draft and executing test plans, defining and implementing quality process improvements focused on defect prevention, generating documentation based on new applications, and mentoring junior testers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Estimation and Planning: Perform estimation processes to ensure accurate project planning and execution
  • Triage Calls and Meetings: Participate in triage calls and QA meetings to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution
  • Testing Strategy Development: Document testing standards and strategies to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Test Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and report overall test status and results to stakeholders
  • Defects Identification and Resolution: Conduct defects management to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Test Plan Execution: Develop draft and execute test plans to ensure thorough testing
  • Quality Process Improvement: Define and implement quality process improvements focused on defect prevention
  • Knowledge Transfer: Generate documentation based on new applications to share and train QA team members
  • Jr. Tester Mentorship: Mentor junior testers to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
  • Technical Requirements Understanding: Ability to read and understand requirements, specifications, and other technical requirements
  • Defect Management Tool Familiarity: Knowledge and understanding of defect management tools such as JIRA
  • Test Case Creation: Create detailed and well-structured test cases to ensure thorough testing
  • Test Finding Documentation: Document test findings (test evidence, bugs, change requests, etc., with attention to detail)
  • Test Script Maintenance: Develop and maintain test scripts, execute test scripts, and manage tracking/reporting systems
  • Accuracy in Testing: Accuracy in executing test cases
  • Reporting and Communication Skills: Good at reporting and communicating testing concerns
  • User Story Analysis: Analyze user stories to document test cases/scenarios as per the acceptance criteria, execute them, and document the results
