Field Service Technician Job Opportunity

This is a field service role that requires extensive travel to customer sites nationwide.

The primary goal of this position is to provide mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical testing, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cranes.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspection, diagnosis, and/or crane health checks for customers nationwide.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex testing, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cranes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnose issues with cranes.
  • Provide operator trainings and commissioning on new or used cranes sold to customers.
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide recommended parts and maintenance to customers.
  • Complete all necessary reports and documentation, including field service reports and timesheets.
  • Attend training sessions as prescribed by the company to improve technical competencies.
  • Properly maintain and use assigned company assets (mobile phone, laptop, service tools, company vehicle, etc.).
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures on company and customer premises.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or 2-year technical course specializing in Electromechanical technology.
  • Basic English oral and written communication skills, computer literate, able to read and interpret technical diagrams, and able to drive.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Extensive domestic travel may be required.
  • Able to work on provincial assignments.
