Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Makati City.
The successful candidate will administer payroll programs for Chevron entities, process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll, and recommend changes or enhancements to established payroll controls or processes.
Key Responsibilities- Administers Payroll Program for Chevron entities, including processing weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll.
- Recommends and implements changes or enhancements to established payroll controls or processes.
- Resolves payroll-related issues with little or no guidance. Works directly with Workday System Support to understand/resolve/test system fixes.
- Tracks, analyzes, and processes adjustments to correct out-of-balance claim situations.
- Monitors third-party inbound files for drop outs and/or data problems. Analyzes and takes corrective action, if necessary.
- Works directly with Field Reps (Time Administrators, HR representatives, etc.) to understand/resolve payroll-related business process issues.
- Assists Payroll Representatives and Payroll Specialists to interpret company policy, FLSA or state labor law regulations, union contract stipulations, etc.
- Works with third-party vendor to execute pre-DME activities after each payroll exit.
- Appropriate handling of sensitive personal data. Payroll Processing involves stewardship of highly sensitive employee information and therefore requires strict adherence to Policy 575 (information protection) guidelines.
- Participates on special projects to continuously simplify and improve work processes.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, teamwork, and customer engagement skills.
- Must have the propensity to work in a proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment.
- Enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knows how to handle Sensitive Personal Data and abide with Data Privacy Law.
- Willing to be assigned to night shift work schedule.
- Experience in Workday is an advantage but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Payroll experience.
