Accounting Leader Role

As a seasoned accounting professional, you will oversee the entire accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes that keep our organization's finances running smoothly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monthly Financial Close: Complete all financial close processes by the 20th of each month to ensure reconciliations and reports are finalized on time.
  • Financial Precision: Ensure all financial reports are accurate and free of material errors, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Cash Flow Management: Maintain an up-to-date cash flow spreadsheet to ensure sufficient funds for future supplier and contractor invoice payments.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Accounts Receivable and Payable: Manage invoicing, collections, and vendor payments to maintain strong cash flow and ensure all transactions are accurately reconciled and on schedule.
  2. Inventory and Cost of Goods: Regularly reconcile inventory balances and collaborate with operations teams to optimize inventory processes.
  3. Expense Management: Analyze operational expenses monthly to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  4. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing and employee reimbursement to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  5. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with leadership and departmental teams to analyze financial impact, support strategic initiatives, and drive organizational growth.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • A proven track record of process improvement and cost savings.
