Job Overview

This senior-level, full-time contract position is a remote opportunity that requires adherence to normal business hours. The role involves working with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Infrastructure Engineering team member will be responsible for designing, building, operating, managing, and improving large-scale VoIP platforms and IP networks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A quiet and secure workspace with multiple high-quality internet connections is required for completing tasks and responsibilities using company-provided equipment.
  • The candidate must have three or more years of experience in senior-level Linux Systems Administration, including experience with three different core Linux distributions.
  • Advanced shell scripting skills are necessary for automation purposes.
  • Experience with BigCouch/CouchDB, MySQL databases, tables, replications, backups, files, and content is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP SIP and RTP protocols, software platforms (e.g., SBCs, proxies, WAFs, load balancers, feature servers), signaling troubleshooting, configuration management, call handling, and flow management is required.
  • A deep understanding of SIP/RTP software/daemons/applications is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience engineering voice telecommunications services based on Kazoo, FreeSWITCH, RabbitMQ, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, VoIPMonitor, etc. is required.
  • Understanding of LAMP software stack and Docker containers is necessary.
  • Experience operating within KVM, Hyper-V, VMware clustered bare-metal hypervisor platforms, AWS, and Rackspace cloud VMs is required.
  • Expertise in building, managing, configuring, and maintaining development, lab, pre-production, and production Linux servers (kernels, images, change management, security, AAA, logging, libraries, centralized logging, jump servers, daemons, monitoring/alerting platforms) is necessary.
  • Ability to develop and maintain compliance for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI standards and certification requirements is essential.
