Job Description
The HR Generalist will perform a wide range of tasks to support the organization's human resources activities.
This position serves as a credible, trusted advisor for employees regarding HR policies and procedures and partners with the HR team to ensure the HR department's operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Check, verify, and compile employee time and attendance (hours worked, overtime, leave credit use).
- Complete daily reports for attendance and leave tracking.
- Review timesheets and other information to ensure data accuracy and/or to identify and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Generate timekeeping reports for payroll.
- Assist with the administration and coordination of benefit plans.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Resolve issues promptly and provide timely follow-up to issues and concerns.
- Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Complete offboarding preparation and clearance process.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies and programs.
- Assist with tasks and projects assigned to the human resources department.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Support the quarterly and annual employee performance review cycles and annual required training programs.
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates as needed.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in the HR Generalist role with experience in recruitment and payroll and attendance tracking.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) will be a plus.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
- Additional HR training will be a plus.
- Must have experience working Nightshift.
