About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Lead to join our team at Hunter's Hub Inc. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in shaping our data migration strategy and ensuring seamless data transfer across systems.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective data migration plans, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive migration strategies. As a key member of our program team, you will lead and oversee all aspects of data migration projects, from planning and execution to post-migration validation.

You will collaborate with our Solution Architect and Data Lead to define the target data model and work with source data systems and new systems to design and create the mechanism to extract, cleanse, transform, enrich, load, and validate all required data for the successful implementation and operation of our new solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Lead and oversee all aspects of data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation;">
  3. Develop and implement data migration strategies and best practices to ensure the successful and secure transfer of data;">
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data migration requirements and develop comprehensive migration plans;">
  5. Manage and coordinate the activities of the data migration team, providing guidance and support as needed;">
  6. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information;">
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any data migration issues that may arise during the migration process;">
  8. Communicate with stakeholders to provide regular updates on the progress of data migration projects and address any concerns or questions.">

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

">
  • ">
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.">
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in leading data migration projects, with a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.">
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.">
  • Proficiency in data migration tools and technologies, as well as experience working with databases and data warehousing systems.">
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address data migration issues effectively.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.">

Technical Skills Required:

Data modelling and analysis techniques; design and develop data extract and load scripts; validation of developed scripts; good knowledge in Database especially DB2, SQL server, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB (nice to have).
