The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is looking for a seasoned professional to take on the challenging role of Principal Energy Specialist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of energy sector policies and strategies that promote sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.

About the Job

As a Principal Energy Specialist, you will work closely with ADB's developing member country governments to shape energy policies and strategies that align with the bank's vision for sustainable development. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Energy Policy Development: Develop and implement energy policies and strategies that support ADB's mission to alleviate poverty and promote economic growth.
  • Technical Assistance and Capacity Building: Provide technical assistance and capacity building to developing member country governments to enhance their energy sector capabilities.
  • Private Sector Engagement: Engage with private sector entities to identify opportunities for collaboration and investment in the energy sector.
  • Knowledge Management and Dissemination: Identify and develop knowledge in new emerging areas, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned to stakeholders.
