The position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong focus on tax and accounting compliance. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of online banking and experience in month-end reconciliations. Experience with Australian tax and/or payroll is preferred, as well as proficiency in MYOB AO/AE – Accountant's version.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with tax preparation, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax obligations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients on financial matters, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in processing different accounts.
  • Working knowledge of online banking and experience in month-end reconciliations.
  • Experience with Australian tax and/or payroll is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) & Reporting (VLOOKUP etc.).
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills with ability to multitask effectively, manage timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to seek advice and accept feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (be able to interact directly with clients).
  • Inquisitive mind, ability to solve problems and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Sound business acumen, highly numerate, with excellent planning & analytical capabilities.
