Job Overview

The Freelance Peer Reviewer will be responsible for evaluating manuscripts for publication in academic journals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate Novelty: Assess whether the manuscript contributes original insights to the field of study.
  • Study Design and Methodology Assessment: Evaluate the appropriateness and comprehensiveness of the study design and methods.
  • Literature Review Analysis: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field.
  • Result and Conclusion Evaluation: Evaluate the clarity of the results presentation and the support provided by the data for the conclusions.
  • Providing Constructive Feedback: Offer feedback suggesting improvements or highlighting flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
  • Publishing Recommendation: Based on evaluation, the journal editor will decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral Degree (PhD/MD) or Equivalent Advanced Degree in Rheumatology or a Related Field.
  • At Least Two Publications in the Last Two Years in Rheumatology or a Related Field.
  • Excellent Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills.
  • Strong Written Communication Skills with the Ability to Provide Clear, Concise, and Constructive Feedback.
  • Ability to Adhere to Deadlines and Manage Time Effectively.
  • Commitment to Maintaining Confidentiality and Objectivity.
