Job Title: Assistant Plant Manager

Commonwealth Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Plant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of maintenance personnel in coordination with the Plant Manager.
  • Request and follow up on outsourced technical services and additional tools needed by the maintenance section.
  • Report machine/equipment failure and maintenance work status to the Plant Manager.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with the Plant Manager to resolve plant issues in a timely manner.
  • Review production orders and processing schedules, making critical decisions about workflow strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop, implement, and track quality control systems, utilizing feedback to reduce scrap and waste through employee education and efficiency improvements.
  • Set and monitor product standards by implementing testing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor (at least 3 years) in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Strong aptitude in root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational problems.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes.
  • Strong team building, decision making, and people management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
