Shipyard Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Operations Expertise: Provide expert mechanical operations support to ensure optimal performance of facility machinery.
• Predictive Maintenance Specialist: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery, troubleshoot and repair as needed to minimize downtime.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs): Develop and maintain SOPs and JSAs to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Daily Operations and Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily operations and maintenance activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Interdepartmental Communication: Collaborate with operators from other shifts to ensure seamless operation and communication.
• Worksite Organization and Safety: Maintain a safe and organized worksite by securing work tools, cleaning the work area, and ensuring a clutter-free environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Floating Dock Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of floating docks to ensure they are in good working condition.
• PMS Program Implementation: Implement, coordinate, and monitor the Preventive Maintenance Scheduling (PMS) program for floating docks.
• Work Requests and Materials Coordination: Prepare and submit work requests and material requisitions as per the PMS schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Equipment Status Reporting: Prepare and submit equipment status reports, including damaged or incident reports, to the designated supervisor.
