Our finance function is expanding and we are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. This includes pulling and analyzing reports from Xero, building and maintaining Excel-based financial models, including three-way forecasting.

The successful candidate will support the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle, manage intercompany journals, transactions, and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, consolidate reporting across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, reconcile subscription revenue using Stripe data, ensure accuracy in recurring revenue streams, provide financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions, act as a trusted partner to leadership, delivering confidence and clarity around numbers, prepare SaaS Metrics reporting, and constantly identify and implement process improvement in our Finance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • CA or CPA qualification with Australia or New Zealand experience preferred;
  • A minimum 3-4 years accounting and financial analysis experience;
  • Experience leading month-end close processes - end to end, and intercompany accounting and reporting;
  • Experience managing a team;
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models preferred but not essential – can be taught;
  • Experience with Stripe preferred;
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, including financial and three-way modeling;
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting;
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
