
Senior Event Strategist

The Events and Experiences Expert is a senior professional responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all events, activations, and experiential marketing initiatives.
This role involves a high level of expertise in project management, vendor negotiation, and strategic communication. The expert will lead the creation of a comprehensive event governance playbook and guide to ensure consistent quality and alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Governance:
- Develop and implement an event governance playbook and guide to standardize event processes, best practices, and quality control.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to map out tasks and implement projects that align with business objectives.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Logistics & Project Management:
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event coordination.
- Locate resources, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to inform decisions about event design.
- Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Supervise event promotions, including DTI permit applications and key messaging development.
- Build and maintain a database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in event coordination and experiential marketing.
- Troubleshooting & Post-Event Analysis:
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day.
- Gather event data and feedback to compile post-event summaries and identify areas for improvement.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in events and activations, preferably within a corporate or agency setting.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale events and complex projects from conception to completion.
- A track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
