IT Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our global team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional technical support and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and effective resolution for customers' computer and application issues, managing the IT ticket queue efficiently, and administering the onboarding and offboarding of employees.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building productive working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective resolution for customers' computer and application issues.
  • Ticket Management: Manage the IT ticket queue efficiently to ensure prompt resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Administer the onboarding and offboarding of employees to ensure seamless transition and compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 2-3 years of IT engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in computer-related technical support.
  • Proficiency in end-user operating systems and a foundational knowledge of server operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, EC2.
  • Experience with Single Sign On (SSO) platforms such as Okta.
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration software.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building productive working relationships.
