Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing the structural and technical components of signage, including monument signs, raceways, and other large-scale signage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create accurate technical drawings and realistic previews showcasing color accuracy, lighting, and placement.
  2. Calculate load, weight, and structural support for signage installations to meet safety standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations in all designs.
  4. Produce engineering documentation, including exploded views and assembly drawings for manufacturers.
  5. Collaborate with manufacturers and engineering teams to deliver production-ready designs with accurate measurements and specifications.
  6. Provide recommendations on materials and construction techniques based on structural analysis.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 3+ years of experience in structural design and engineering.
  3. Licensed engineer or architect preferred.
  4. Expertise in 3D modeling software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, and SolidWorks.
  5. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and other graphic design tools.
  6. Proficiency in load calculation, weight distribution, and material strength analysis.
  7. Strong knowledge of signage structures, including raceways, foundations, and load-bearing components.
  8. Experience creating exploded views, assembly guides, and technical fabrication documentation.
  9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
