**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing real-time databases and data systems to meet evolving client, product, and business needs.

About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and optimizing database systems, as well as tuning and productionizing machine learning models.
  • You will take ownership of features end-to-end, from initial concept through deployment, driving substantial product features alongside an architect, backend developer or analyst.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, leading by example in design reviews and pair programming, fostering a thoughtful, kind, and continuously learning team culture.
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture and design discussions, advocating for simple, elegant solutions, and challenging unnecessary complexity.
  • Continuously refine systems balancing new development with technical debt management to keep solutions stable and adaptable.

  • Expertise in database system design, optimization, and tuning.
  • Experience with machine learning model productionization and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to mentor and support junior engineers.

How You'll Grow With Us:
  1. First two weeks: Make first meaningful contribution to the project, communicate well asynchronously and in meetings.
  2. First three months: Understand system architecture, work independently or in teams on medium-sized features, ship clean, tested code, communicate clearly and contribute to reviews, deliver what you commit to.
  3. After three months: Take ownership of larger features, help others by sharing knowledge, spotting problems early, and improving processes or tooling, make decisions with both data/codebase and business goals in mind.
