About the Role:

The Costing Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's costing processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position is responsible for managing the costing function, providing strategic insights, and driving continuous improvements to support manufacturing, transport, and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the company's plans and objectives are translated into a working budget that is accurate, realistic, and comprehensive.
  • Provide management with reliable and accurate product costing/production variance reports to inform pricing decisions and achieve profitability objectives.
  • Design and implement key performance indicators to drive factory cost efficiencies.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis on product costing and gross margin for fluctuations in foreign exchange rates or raw material prices.
  • Partner with relevant departments to review factory variance reports and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensure timely submission of accurate factory financial statements, variance analysis reports, and cost center reports related to production, QA, and Engineering.
  • Review contracts and costing of OEM suppliers.
  • Ensure tight control and reconciliation of Raw Material, Packaging, Finished Goods, and Spare Part inventory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing costing.
  • 1-3 years' supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient in cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in using financial and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SAP, etc.).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar professional certification is an advantage.
  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
  • Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized.
