Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer Role

As a senior DevOps engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams. Your primary focus will be on automating and streamlining software delivery and infrastructure management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply cloud computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes.
  • Implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes and tools to enable agile teams to deliver quality software based on user feedback.
  • Develop scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment, and system/application management.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance engineering tools, systems, and procedures, and data security.
  • Conduct automated system-level vulnerability security scans, harden system and application platforms.
  • Respond to incidents and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and improve systems through application or infrastructure updates.
  • Maintain infrastructure setup, maintenance, troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements

For this position, we require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related software discipline from a reputable university.
  • At least 5+ years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in containerization and microservices, including Docker, K8S, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Good understanding of server-side scripting (Unix/shell scripting) and automation technology.
  • Experience working in an agile environment on consumer-facing software products.
  • High sense of responsibility, strong ability to analyze and eliminate faults, good at learning at work, able to withstand work stress.
