Lead AI Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Lead AI Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for architecting and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions across our ClinicOS platform, transforming how millions access healthcare through intelligent automation.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning, strong programming skills using TypeScript and/or Python, and experience designing and building modern customer-facing APIs.

  • This is a full-time, fully remote role, requiring the ability to thrive in intense, high-velocity environments.
  • You will work directly with the Head of Engineering and the CEO to build AI systems that deliver world-class healthcare at software scale.

The successful candidate will be passionate about making healthcare radically more accessible through AI, have built production applications powered by LLMs, and be comfortable building user-friendly interfaces using React or similar frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of highly relevant experience in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning
  • Strong experience building production applications powered by LLMs, prompt and context engineering, RAG systems, model fine-tuning, and evaluation frameworks
  • Strong programming skills using TypeScript and/or Python
  • Experience designing and building modern customer-facing APIs
  • Comfortable building user-friendly interfaces using React or similar frameworks
  • Experience leading engineering team members
