Procurement Manager

The Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for performing procurement duties for utilized items stored in central supply, including materials, equipment, and office supplies. The successful candidate will coordinate with department representatives and vendors/suppliers to ensure the appropriateness and cost-effectiveness of purchases and the resolution of problems/concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare formal and informal bids involving technical and complex specifications, creating specifications as needed, and evaluating bids according to current guidelines.
• Communicate with vendors regarding bid status and contract compliance, coordinating with departments and various vendors concerning product needs, interviewing vendors regarding price, product applicability, service quality, and related issues, and receiving and providing information to departments concerning product availability, quality, or description.
• Expedite overdue or delayed orders, coordinating with vendors to resolve product, pricing, delivery discrepancies, and receiving and verifying requisitions for various materials, equipment, and services, determining the appropriate method of purchase, preparing and processing purchase orders, and preparing related reports.
• Review inventory listings and identify items to be recorded based on specified reorder points, past usage rates, shelf life of items, satisfaction with items, and place orders according to established practice, assisting in preparing special cost studies as required by management, and performing additional duties as requested by the General Manager.
Requirements:
• College graduate with a degree in Management/Accounting or related courses.
• At least five (05) years of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of procurement methods and procedures, a valid driver's license, demonstrated communication and organizational skills, and computer literacy.
