Job Title: Immigration Paralegal

The primary responsibility of an immigration paralegal is to assist attorneys and other legal professionals in tasks such as document management, client interaction, case preparation, form completion, system updates, and administrative support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Create, organize, and maintain digital client files, ensure proper naming and maintenance of files, and remove duplicates and outdated templates.
  • Client Interaction & Case Management: Gather, organize, and verify client documents for case preparation, communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates on their cases.
  • Form Preparation: Draft and complete government forms related to immigration cases, assemble exhibit lists, and ensure accuracy in document submissions.
  • System Updates: Maintain and update client profiles in database systems, record client communications, and update case notes consistently.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate with clients and team members to determine daily and weekly goals, submit requests for translation and educational evaluations.
  • Compliance & Organization: Stay updated on immigration law developments and ensure all procedures adhere to current standards.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, customer-service orientation, strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and CRM tools like Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
