Software Engineer for Demand-Side Platform Development

This is a role overview of the position:

The successful candidate will lead the development and deployment of a Demand-Side Platform (DSP) to support real-time bidding and programmatic advertising needs, working closely with the in-house and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DSP Development: The software engineer will design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code using Laravel and related frameworks.
  • Backend Development: The backend developer will create robust systems that ensure a cost-effective bidding process for DSP usage, leveraging platform efficiencies.
  • Integration and Communication: The engineer will develop integrations between our DSP and various Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs) for seamless ad placements.
  • Technical Collaboration: The software engineer will collaborate with in-house and offshore teams, including PHP, Laravel, and data-heavy Python teams, to align development with data utilization requirements.
  • Code Quality and Testing: The engineer will ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications; identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

Qualifications:

  • Required Experience:
    • 5+ years of PHP experience with Laravel expertise.
    • Experience with DSPs, programmatic advertising, or real-time bidding technologies, ideally for platforms like Trade Desk, Simpli.fi, or Xandr.
    • Familiarity with integrations and interactions with SSPs, CTV, and other programmatic advertising protocols.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front-end technologies.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in Python for data-heavy applications is a plus.
    • Knowledge of marketing technology platforms, particularly in OTT/CTV environments.
