Job Description

The Partner Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by fostering strong relationships with Global System Integrators (GSIs).

They work closely with Canonical's GSI partners to facilitate the adoption of Ubuntu-based solutions and opportunities throughout the sales cycles.

This strategic position requires a deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystems, as well as open source selling models.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles, coupled with knowledge of OpenStack, virtualization, containers, and other Cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with GSIs
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms
  • Deeply understand partner organizations and sales models
  • Work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management teams
  • Lead executive interlocks between partners and Canonical leadership
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management
  • Knowledge of OpenStack, virtualization, containers, and other Cloud technologies
  • Autonomous, disciplined, and hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
