Role and Responsibilities
Based on Linux kernel and open source technologies, you will deliver software for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms.
As a member of our team, you will integrate and maintain device-oriented software stacks. You will write high-quality, well-designed code and collaborate with other teams.
Our engineers display technical leadership internally and within our external communities. They help customers ship their apps and SDKs on Ubuntu and build device OS images.
Debugging issues and producing high-quality code to fix them are also part of your responsibilities. Contributing to technical documentation and discussing ideas with colleagues are additional tasks.
Requirements
Exceptional academic records from both high school and university are required. A drive and track record of going above-and-beyond expectations are essential.
Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) is necessary. Fluency in at least one of Golang, C, C++, or Rust is required. Professional written and spoken English are must-haves.
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability are highly valued. A passion for Linux or embedded systems software is crucial. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
Result-oriented individuals with a personal drive to meet commitments are ideal candidates. Ability to travel twice a year for company events is also a requirement.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Debian/Ubuntu packaging, build systems, and toolchains is a plus. Understanding of computer architecture and electrical engineering design tools is also beneficial.
Performance engineering and security experience can be an advantage. Familiarity with Ubuntu development model and Shell or Python scripting skills can also contribute to success.
