We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Staff Accountant (GL). To be considered for this role, you must have an accounting degree and demonstrate a strong aptitude for financial analysis and general ledgers. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to accurately process high volumes of vendor invoices and maintain the General Ledger system. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Responsibilities:
  1. Process high volumes of vendor invoices
  2. Maintain the General Ledger system, recording all financial transactions accurately
  3. Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  4. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports and statements
  5. Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
  6. Lead or assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  7. Manage accruals for expenses incurred but not yet paid and prepayments for expenses paid in advance
  8. Assist in internal and external audits
  9. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
  10. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and other financial reporting requirements

Qualifications:
  1. Accounting degree
  2. Experience with GL systems
  3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  5. Strong organization and communication skills
  6. Ability to work in a professional office environment
