Job Title: Prior Authorization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to support our busy Endocrinology practice in Prior Authorization and Scheduling. This role requires efficient management of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient scheduling, while delivering exceptional patient service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Insurance Verification and Prior Authorizations:
  • Verify patient insurance coverage for medications, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
  • Obtain prior authorizations from insurance providers as required.
  • Patient Scheduling:
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the Endocrinology team to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients regarding authorizations, scheduling, and preparation requirements.
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls effectively.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and insurance portals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.


Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or medical scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, benefits verification, and prior authorization workflows.
  • Excellent spoken English with a neutral or clear accent for effective patient communication.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
