Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to take on a challenging role in tax accounting.

This position requires expertise in Australian taxation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • You will be responsible for preparing accurate and efficient tax returns, including company and trust tax returns, FBT calculations, CGT event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of company and trust tax returns
  2. Calculation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
  3. Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event management
  4. Division 7A loan compliance and structuring
  5. Mentoring and collaborating with offshore bookkeeping teams
  6. Supporting in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficiency in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and compliance deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency
  • Background in FYIDocs is advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously
