Auto Body Fabricator

At BMQ Builders & Supply Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Auto Body Welder to join our team. As a key member of our auto body repair team, you will be responsible for repairing, replacing, and fabricating vehicle body parts, ensuring structural integrity.

• Welding Repairs: Use MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques to repair damaged vehicle bodies and frames, ensuring the structural integrity of the vehicle is restored.
• Steel Fabrication: Fabricate custom metal parts for vehicle bodies, including cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components, designing and creating steel frames or brackets for vehicle reinforcements or custom modifications.
• Inspect and Assess Damage: Evaluate the extent of damage to the vehicle's body and structural components, develop repair and fabrication plans in collaboration with other auto body technicians, and provide cost and time estimates for both welding and steel fabrication repairs.
• Cut, Shape, and Prepare Metal Parts: Cut, fit, and shape metal parts to match vehicle specifications, use various tools such as grinders, cutters, and hammers to prepare surfaces for welding and fabrication, and fabricate and install new metal sections and custom steel parts as needed.
• Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper ventilation and protective equipment use during welding and fabrication, and ensure all welds and fabricated parts meet vehicle manufacturer's and industry standards for safety and quality.
• Maintain Welding and Fabrication Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain welding and steel fabrication tools and machinery to ensure safe and effective operation, and troubleshoot any issues with welding machines, cutting tools, or steel fabrication equipment.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other auto body repair professionals, including painters, mechanics, and estimators, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure timely and accurate welding and fabrication work.
