Medical Interpreter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Interpreter to provide consecutive interpretation during remote medical appointments. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal communication skills in both English and Plautdietsch, as well as a high level of proficiency in note taking and memory techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consecutive interpretation services during remote medical appointments.
  • Exhibit professional and courteous behavior at all times.
  • Support the note taking process and utilize memory techniques as needed during interpretation.
  • Foster high standards of quality and service throughout each assignment.
Qualifications
  • Be fluent in both English and Plautdietsch (target language).
  • State certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Excellent note taking and memory techniques.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Experience with consecutive interpretation processes.
  • Strong ability and passion for interpretation and customer service.
  • Knowledge of the interpreter code of ethics.
  • At least two years of experience in medical interpreting.
