The role of a credit analyst involves evaluating the financial health and risk of clients to determine their creditworthiness. This is achieved by analyzing various data points, including financial statements and credit reports.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed credit analyses and risk assessments for new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure deals that align with the company's risk tolerance.
- Monitor client portfolios and identify potential credit risks or deteriorating financial conditions.
- Recommend credit limits and terms based on risk analysis.
- Stay current with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Graduated cum laude or better from university is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with credit scoring systems and risk assessment tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
