Job Title:

Software Development Team Lead

 

We are seeking an experienced software development team lead to oversee the development of our global software distribution engine.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading modern software development practices, with experience in forming a healthy engineering culture and mentoring team members. They will be responsible for setting expectations with other teams, managing project timelines, and collaborating with the leadership team.

 

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of engineers in developing high-quality software products
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development
  • Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders
  • Be an active part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organisation
  • Build clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, using Python and Golang

 

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in leading modern software development practices
  • Experience in forming a healthy engineering culture and mentoring team members
  • Demonstrative experience of being a role model for sound software development principles and contributing toward team goals
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
  • Focused on success and timely delivery of high-quality software
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical experience with Linux system administration

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Python and Golang programming skills
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of software development best practices
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
